The Blissful Horizon Foundation exists to provide compassionate housing support, healthcare coordination, and human connection to individuals and families experiencing homelessness across Southern California. We believe stable housing is the foundation for healing, recovery, and renewed hope.

How We Started
The Beginning: A Grassroots Response to a Human Crisis
Blissful Horizon Foundation was founded by five individuals from different professional backgrounds—healthcare, social work, emergency response, housing advocacy, and nonprofit outreach—who shared a common witness: they had seen too many vulnerable people discharged from hospitals back onto the streets without support or recovery care.
Each had experienced moments that changed their perspective. Healthcare workers watched patients heal just enough to leave the hospital, only to face the impossibility of recovering on the street. Social workers navigated systems designed to move people through, not keep them stable. Emergency responders saw the same individuals cycling through crisis repeatedly. Housing advocates understood the shortage, but also saw the gap between availability and accessibility. Nonprofit leaders worked tirelessly to fill cracks in the safety net that grew wider every day.
What began as informal conversations became a commitment. In 2019, after volunteering together during emergency outreach efforts throughout Southern California, the group formalized their mission: to create a nonprofit focused on restoring dignity, stability, and hope for individuals and families experiencing homelessness.
From grassroots efforts to organized impact: What started with small outreach initiatives quickly evolved into structured programs addressing the full spectrum of need—from immediate housing placement and recuperative care to long-term case management and healthcare coordination. Today, Blissful Horizon serves hundreds of individuals annually, partnering across the region to create real, lasting change.
